The agreement, in plain words
The short version: the school owns its records, pays what it agreed with the operator, and does not attack the platform. The long version follows, and the FAQ's honest-limits list is part of it.

The agreement
These terms are an agreement between the operator of this EduOnPoint installation and the school that registers on it. The person who registers a school confirms they are entitled to act for it, and the school answers for what its staff, pupils and guardians do with the accounts it approves.
Families and staff use the platform under the school's authority; their relationship about the records themselves is with the school. Using the platform is acceptance of these terms; registering a school is acceptance in writing.
The service
EduOnPoint is school administration: enrolment, classes, timetables, attendance, marks, report cards, examination registers, fees, payroll and messaging — in English and in French, in XAF, built to stay usable on a metered connection.
It installs from the browser as an app; there is no store listing. What it does not yet do is published on the FAQ's honest-limits list, which is part of these terms by reference.
Accounts
The school's administrator creates or approves every account and chooses its role. Roles decide what a person can see and do, the school can change them at any time, and every page checks its permission on the server — hiding a link is never the protection.
Credentials are personal. An account is for one person, anything done under it is attributed to it, and a shared password is the school's risk. Report a compromised account to the school's administrator immediately.
The school's records
Everything a school enters remains the school's. The operator hosts it, backs it up as deployed, and claims no right over it beyond what hosting requires. Excel exports exist precisely so a school can leave with its register.
Accuracy is the school's: the platform computes averages and ranks from what was entered, and a wrong mark in produces a wrong bulletin out. The school is responsible for having the authority to record the people it records.
Acceptable use
Do not probe other schools' data, test the platform's boundaries, share access with people the school has not approved, or use the messaging screens for anything unlawful. Cameroon's cybersecurity law applies to everyone who signs in.
The operator may suspend an account or a school that attacks the platform or other tenants, and will say why in writing.
Fees
What a school pays is agreed with the operator in writing before it starts, in XAF; there is no single published tariff, because what suits a school of two hundred does not suit one of two thousand. Payment happens by mobile money or however the operator and the school agree, and a confirmation by the bursary or the operator is what marks an invoice settled.
A school that falls behind is warned before anything is restricted, and restriction means read-only before it ever means removal. Records are never deleted for non-payment while the school is asking for them.
What is not promised
The service is provided as described, including its published limits: the WhatsApp and mobile-money API drivers exist but have not run against live accounts, password-reset email is not sent because no mail transport is configured, and availability is best effort rather than a percentage.
None of that is buried here to be discovered later. It is on the FAQ, in public, and these terms point at it.
Examinations and official documents
The GCE Board, the OBC and MINESEC issue official results; nothing this platform prints is an official statement of results. A bulletin printed here is the school's own record, and the QR code on it verifies the document against the school's records — nothing more.
Before filing real Board entries, the school replaces the placeholder subject codes with the current circular's, as the honest-limits list says.
Leaving and closing
A school may stop using the platform whenever it chooses, export its records, and ask for its tenancy to be deleted. Deletion is confirmed in writing once the exports are acknowledged.
The operator may close a school's tenancy for sustained non-payment or for the abuse described above, with notice, and the export path stays open through the notice period.
Liability
The operator's liability to a school is capped at what that school paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and neither side owes the other for indirect losses. Nothing here excludes liability the law does not allow excluding.
The platform is a register, not a substitute for the school's judgement. Decisions about a pupil — promotion, discipline, fees — are the school's, made from records the school entered.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of Cameroon. Disputes go first to the operator's address in the footer, in writing, and to the competent Cameroonian courts if writing fails.
When these terms change, the date under the title changes with them, and the current version always lives at this address. Continuing to use the platform after a change is acceptance of it.
